Sports photography is one of the most challenging genres of photography for professionals to attempt.

 

Unlike landscape or portrait work, you really only have a brief moment to capture that perfect pass, shot or kick. Often, it's in less-than-ideal lighting conditions and you're limited to a less-than-ideal vantage point.

 

For this reason, and because of my background in sports journalism, I've always found sports photography to be one of the most difficult but rewarding types of photography I shoot.
