Eilat & David

I'm a bit of a superstitious person. It's in my nature. That's why, at the end of every wedding season, I hope to close my year out with a great session with an awesome couple as a way of bringing a little bit of positive energy into the winter.

I think that's why I was so thrilled to end 2025 with Eilat and David's December engagement session at the Fresh Pond Reservation in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

I knew from my initial consultation with this couple that they were my kind of people. They're fun, they're kind and they're absolutely adorable together and when you take all that and add in cutesy winter wardrobes and a fun afternoon laughing and joking around, you have the recipe for the perfect engagement session.

And that's the only way I can describe my time with these two back in December.

Right from the beginning of my session with Eilat and David, I could tell we were in for a fun day and I'm so thankful it was because I arrived frustrated from traffic and at the very beginning of what would turn into a two-week case of the flu but none of that mattered in the moment because, right from the start, this pair was in great spirits and excited for the shoot.

I always love starting engagement sessions with some simple poses to gauge how comfortable a bride and groom are in front of the camera and Eilat and David were practically pros right from the jump.

Eilat and David chose to have their photos taken at the Fresh Pond Reservation in Cambridge and the property didn't have a ton going for it as the trees were all bare and there wasn't much but open space but, honestly, it didn't even matter as this couple was the center of attention in these photos and their chemistry more than made up for the lack of foliage and chilly winter breeze in the air.

I especially loved how effortlessly Eilat and David rolled into some of my sillier poses, like pretending to dance in the open field, and I could tell they're not a pair that take themselves overly serious, which is a great and promising sign ahead of their 2026 wedding.

While I don't do a lot of winter sessions, I really should as it's such a distinctive season style and fashion wise and Eilat and David showed this best with their second outfit, which just screamed snowy winter day in a cabin.

I'm a sucker for sweaters in the winter and was immediately inspired when Eilat and David brought out their cozy wear for the back half of our session together. So much so I wasn't even that worried when they said they wanted to walk over to the water ... even though I knew that likely meant a significant temperature drop and even colder conditions than we'd experienced so far.

It was so worth it though.

Eilat and David closed out their session with one last wardrobe change and we had just enough time left before losing the sun to head back toward the entrance of the reservation. It was here that I decided to have a little bit of fun, asking David to give his bride a bit of a piggy back ride, asking the two of them to make the worst faces they could and trying my luck with a dip photo and I truly can't think of a better way to have closed out this session.

As I said my goodbyes to Eilat and David and headed back to my car, I was so thankful and thrilled to finally be finished with the 2025 season. While this year was, easily, the best of my career, it was also the most challenging and physically demanding season I've ever had.

That's why I'm so grateful I got to close it out with such an awesome couple that made me forget, even if just for a few hours, how much everything hurt and just how buried I was in photos with deadlines fast approaching.

So, thank you Eilat and David for an amazing engagement session. I can't wait to reconnect in the summer and see just how much we can top the fun we had on a cold and dreary December engagement session together. See you in 2026! :)
