Chad & Lauren

September 10th, 2016*
One of my favorite sayings about Rhode Island is "If you don't like the weather, wait a few minutes," and throughout my career in wedding photography, I've found more often than not this is the case.
For many couples planning a wedding in the Ocean State, or in New England in general, one of the most maddening things you simply can't control is how Mother Nature is going to cooperate on your day and for Chad and Lauren's early-September wedding this year, that proved itself in spades as in a span of just six hours, it went from cloudy with a chance of rain, to a downpour, to sunny skies, to blazing warm, to windy, to cloudy again to cold and back to a downpour.
In that small span of time, this couple got to experience almost every season rolled into one period and it made for a funny and memorable wedding as the bride and groom rolled with the punches and had a beautiful day they'll cherish forever.
I loved a lot of things about Chad and Lauren's big day and it was, without question, one of my favorite assignments I took on as a second shooter in 2016.
Below are some of my favorite shots from the day. It was an absolute pleasure to photograph.
