Ahh, winter. A time for snow, a time for cold, a time for great sports.
While admittedly winter is an incredibly difficult time to take sports photos, what with all the games being indoors, the actual sports taking place are some of the best of the year.
Basketball, gymnastics, wrestling and hockey are four of my favorite sports to shoot and I think it shows in my latest gallery update, the first of three planned winter sports galleries.
The photos I've put on display here cover the first portion of the winter sports season and, already, I've taken what I feel are some great photos.
Most of these are shots that I took for Mare Studios and for www.risportsphoto.com but there are a couple that I took that appeared in the South County Independent and the North East Independent newspapers.
I loved shooting these games, even if it's freezing outside and I'm silently counting the weeks until the spring starts.
